Zero Waste Design Disclaimer:

This pattern is a 100% zero-waste sewing pattern meaning no paper is used to assemble it. The pattern pieces are drawn directly onto the fabric using chalk or a marking tool according to the layout in the instructions. This method of patterning benefits the environment and your fabric stash as no paper is used and all of the specific fabric is used up leaving little to no waste.

Those who prefer a paper pattern can draw the pattern onto large format paper and have the pattern to use for future sewing!

Pattern Description:

Simplicity meets utilitarian with this cozy hood. Worn on its own or attached to your favorite garment, the Nettle Hood is designed to keep your head protected from the elements. The design is lined and features a wrap around mouth cover, drawstrings, and bottom flap for attaching or detaching your hood to jackets and coats or letting it sit under other garments. Take it with you on the go with its attached pocket that the hood folds into.

This pattern was drafted based on a head circumference of 22" and designed for someone with thick curly hair.

This pattern comes in one size that can be easily altered for a smaller head.

This pattern uses 1 yard of fabric
